Blog: Next New

Technology is changing at a rapid pace. Just ten years ago it was unimaginable to see how much cellphones would change and how depended the world would become to the internet. I believe the next new media will be Artificial Intelligence integrated into every aspect of our daily lives. Our cellphones, computers, and even TVs and even smart homes are already programmed with AI. Nowadays new electric cars have internet connection and options like auto pilot which is AI base. We are becoming more and more connected to virtual world and giving AI systems more accesses over our lives. Voice assistance programs like SIRI and Alexa are another example of AI technology surrounding our daily lives. Voice assistance programs started with cellphones, however, today homes and cars can be controlled with voice assistance programs.

In my opinion Twitter users can discuss any subject freely and do not have to provide a right answer but rather their own opinion. In comparison, Blackboard discussions are heavily regulated by the professor and people must follow professor’s direction regarding their discussion and provide resources.  Because of the characters limit on Twitter, most conversation and comments are short and is not based on a scientific source. On Twitter discussions can be formal or casual and it can reach to all the followers and be retweeted to other users and create a very large audience. Both Black-board discussions and Twitter discussions are in form of short, formal written statements, however, in class discussions can be very interactive with professors and other students since the mean of the conversation is voice and face to face interactions allow students to see each other facial and physical impressions during...

Blog VS Wiki

Blogs are typically someone’s opinion which is followed by others comments below the post and blog posts has the tendency to be focused on the top news, personal experiences, and life stories of the blogger. Usually author of the blog is the only person who can audit the blog and post new content at a set time. Blog always shows the original publish date on the post and it does not show the dates that the post has been updated. Since only the author of the blog can post or audit information, blogs tends to be biased base on the authors believes and not exactly based on fact and academic sources.      Wiki articles represent consensus and could have an accompanying discussion page. In Wiki multiple authors can contribute and create a new post, audit the pervious posts, or even delete them. In Wiki the content is constantly changing, and viewer can the all the revision histories done by other authors. Wiki tends to be more scientific base and au...
